The sustainable face mask.

Effective protection shouldn’t cost the earth.

With the primary goal of designing an effective mask that is reusable for life, sustainability is in ActiveMask’s DNA.

As many organisations are making inroads in reducing emissions, tabling annual sustainability reports, and expecting more of their professional partners, supplying single-use face masks, containing 50% melt blown plastic, is not good for business.

These masks cannot be recycled and are already making their way to landfill and entering our waterways and oceans in the form of micro-plastics.

Environmental health experts highlight the need for effective reusable PPE.

One study estimates that in the UK alone, if every person used a single-use face mask a day for a year, it would create an additional 66,000 tonnes of contaminated waste and 57,000 tonnes of plastic packaging

ActiveMask utilises sustainable packaging.

“Widespread use of single-use PPE has resulted in enormous quantities entering waste management streams, contaminating both public spaces and natural environments and creating additional threats to public health and safety”
